Super Mobile Skip Bins

Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I hire a mobile skip bin instead of a normal skip bin?

Our mobile skip bins come with many advantages. As they are on a trailer, you can move our skips to your waste, rather than the other way around. Our skips are registered, so they can be left on the road outside your property. Our skips can be moved to undercover areas such as in carports, under awnings or into apartment building car parks. Our skips have a lockable lid, preventing local neighbours from using your skip without your knowledge. Our skips won’t damage your lawn or driveway, which the standard skip bins have a tendancy to do.

What type of skip bin do I need?

That all depends on the type of rubbish you are going to remove. We offer four different waste categories.

General mixed / building waste – Up to 500kg
General mixed / building waste – Up to 1000kg
Heavy waste (brick / concrete / roof tiles) – Up to 1000kg
Green waste – Up to 1000kg

What is included in the hire costs?

Our hire costs are for a 3 day period, (longer can be arranged for an additional fee) and includes free drop off and pickup.

What waste can I put in the skip bin?

General waste is typically anything involved with a general cleanup around the house, or building material waste, that is neither liquid nor of a hazardous nature. Heavy waste is concrete, rocks, rubble, and bricks. This type of waste is only allowed in our skip bins in smaller quantities. Green waste includes grass, leaves, tree trimmings, small branches and other organic materials.

What waste is not acceptable?

Asbestos, chemicals, oils, paints, batteries, gas cylinders or anything of a hazardous nature.

How big are the skip bins?

All our skips bins are 4 cubic meters in volume, which holds a substantial amount of waste. This is equivalent to approximately 16 wheelie bins, or four standard box trailers. Our skip bins are the perfect answer for home renevations, home clean outs, building projects or vegetation removal.

What happens if the weight of my waste exceeds the allowed limit?

When we dispose of your waste, if the allowable weight limit has been exceeded, an excess weight fee may apply.

How long does it take to have a skip bin delivered?

We can normally have a skip bin delivered to you within 4 hours of your booking, depending on availability. We suggest booking your skip bin at least 24 hours in advance.

What are your servicing areas?

We service the whole of the Central Coast, Sydney Upper North Shore (Hornsby area) and the Lake Macquarie Region.

Do we have to take the waste to the tip?

No. Our price includes delivery, pick up and disposal of your waste.

Do I need Council approval?

No, there is no need for council approval to hire one of our skip bins. The skip bins come on a registered trailer, but you still must always comply with parking restrictions and NSW Road and traffic rules.

Does the skip bin have a lid and is it lockable?

Yes. Our skip bins have a lockable lid. This prevents the annoying instance of others in your area disposing their rubbish in your skip.

Can I put the skip bin on the road?

Yes. Our bins are on a registered trailer, so they can be left on the street. This is great for properties with restricted access.

How do I pay for my skip bin?

Skip bin orders are paid for at the time of booking over the phone, or upon delivery to your premises. We accept all credit cards for payment including Visa and Mastercard. If you wish to pay in cash, please let us know at the time of your booking, so we can advise the total cost. If paying by cash, payment is to be made at delivery of your skip, and it would be appreciated if you had the exact amount available at that time. If you wish to cancel a booking, this must be done at least 48 hours in advance, or a fee may apply.
